Important Update: School of Data Science Events: COVID-19

Categories: General News Tags: General News

The University has received additional guidance from the UNC System regarding how it should operate in response to the ongoing coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak.

Based on direction from the University, the following will go into effect regarding campus events starting Monday, March 16 through March 31:

  • We will move to online instruction wherever possible. Our goal is to return to in-person instruction as soon as reasonably possible.

  • Some classes, such as those with labs, will continue to require in-person instruction and attendance.

  • Teleworking for staff and faculty members will be encouraged to the maximum extent possible.

  • All official School of Data Science events and gatherings will transition to a virtual format or will be postponed. Out of an abundance of caution, all events will remain in this format until April 20.

As this is a continuously evolving situation, please refer to the events calendar on our website for updated information.
